Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh pays a gift-giving visit to Vietnamese heroic mothers
On the occasion of the 71-year anniversary of the War Invalids’ and Martyrs’ Day (27 July 1947 - 27 July 2018), Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh on 8 July paid a gift-giving visit to Vietnamese heroic mothers of Dong Thap Muoi’s districts, Long An Province.
The amount of money spent on 20 gift portions for the Vietnamese heroic mothers and 250 bikes for poor pupils was worth VND 600 million.
Speaking at the visit session, Mr. Truong Hoa Binh affirmed that it is the Party and State’s policy to show consideration for and take care of Vietnamese heroic mothers, war invalids, and families with revolutionary contributions.
The adequate implementation of policies of preferential treatment for people deserving well of the revolution is meant not only to manifest sacred sentiment and lofty responsibility of the whole society but also to ensure social justice, thereby helping enhance public confidence.

Deputy Prime Minister instructed organizations, unions, caders, Party members and the entire population of Long An to continue their concrete deeds as a way to implement the moral philosophy “When drinking water, think of its source” and to responsibly join the movement “Whole-population attendance on war invalids and martyrs’ families and revolutionary contributors.”
With respect to the educational cause, the Deputy Prime Minister instructed Long An Province authorities to direct educational units and schools in remote areas, which were once revolutionary bases, to create favorable conditions for poor primary pupils to continue their school attendance and to rise in life.
