New Western Coach Station

     The new Western Coach Station has been planned in detail by SAMCO and agencies with a 1:500 scale at An Phu Tay, Binh Chanh District. So far, they have collected public opinions about the project and this task is expected to be completed in April 2017. At the same time, SAMCO has prepared VND 726 billion for site clearance and Binh Chanh District People’s Committee said the compensation would be completed in the 3rd quarter of 2017. The total area to be cleared for the station construction will be 24.33 ha, including 17 ha for building the station and 4.33 ha for maintenance & repair depot for BRT buses and road limit in National Highway 1A. The new station is expected to meet the travel demand of 30,000 passenger trips with nearly 1,400 vehicle trips departing from the station each day, and up to 63,000 passenger trips with 2,200 vehicle trips departing from the station on peak days. The station will be linked with comprehensively with the public transport network such as the Metro Route No. 3 from Ben Thanh (Dist. 1) to Tan Kien Station (Binh Chanh Dist.), Monorail No. 2 from National Highway 50 (Dist. 8) to Nguyen Van Linh to Tran Nao to Xuan Thuy (Dist. 2) to Binh Quoi urban area to Thanh Da (Binh Thanh Dist.), bus rapid transit systems and other future bus routes.

     Construction the new coach station in place of the current one. The station will be linked with the public transport network such as the Metro Route No. 3a from Ben Thanh (Dist. 1) to Tan Kien Station (Binh Chanh Dist.), Monorail No. 2 from National Highway 50 (Dist. 8) to Thanh Da (Binh Thanh Dist.), bus rapid transit systems and other future bus routes through Nguyen Van Linh, Tran Nao, Xuan Thuy (Dist. 2) and Binh Quoi urban area.

    The new Western Coach Station is expected to meet the travel demand of more than 30,000 passenger trips with nearly 1,400 vehicle trips departing from the station each day, and up to 63,000 passenger trips with 2,200 vehicle trips on peak days.

The new Western Coach Station will be located in An Phu Tay Commune, Binh Chanh District, HCM City.

The total area for the station is 24.33 ha, including 17 ha for the station construction and 4.33 ha for maintenance & repair depot for BRT buses and road limit in National Highway 1A.

Owner’s equity and other capital sources

According to Binh Chanh District People’s committee, the compensation for site clearance will be completed in the 3rd of 2017.
