     On December 20,1975, the company was initially founded as City Factory from the Capital City Factory. In 1992, it was renamed Saigon Transportation Mechanical Corporation (SAMCO). Over a long-term development process, Toyota Ben Thanh Motor Company (TBTC) was founded as one of SAMCO’s first affiliates and a dealer authorized by Toyota Motor Vietnam (TMV), which covers an area of more than 5,000 m2 for both sales and services.

     From 236 cars sold in the first year of establishment, TBTC has up to now sold nearly 20,819 Toyota cars of various types. The number of serviced vehicles reached about 30,000 units per year. In response to the trust of customers, in the past 15 years of operation, TBTC has made continuous effort to improve itself by using modern equipment imported from Japan and America. Becoming one of TMV's largest dealers has always been TBTC's top priority and in 2013 it honorably received the silver prize of the Dealer Excellence Awards and Dealer Plan Completion Award (Service).

     Despite last year’s difficulties facing Vietnam’s automotive market, with the consensus of the TBTC family, company completed its business plan and sales and profit targets.

     Notably in 2014, TBTC marked its new development through putting its branch Toyota Chuong Duong into operation at 326 Vo Van Kiet St., Dist 1.
