10th humanitarian blood donation 2018 entitled “Hearts of compassion”

On the morning of 21 August 2018, the 10th voluntary blood donation program entitled “Hearts of compassion” took place at the corporate meeting hall, located at 326 Vo Van Kiet St., Co Giang Ward, Dist. 1, HCM City. The 3-day blood donation program from 21 August to 23 August was jointly held by the corporate Trade Union and Youth Union, with the positive support from the Parent Company’s Clerical Trade Union and subsidiary companies.

Blood transfusion area

The blood donation days attracted more than 620 blood donors from the affiliated enterprises and member companies (250 ml of blood/person on average). According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Dung, Chairwoman of the corporate Trade Union, this is an activity annually held by the corporation that is aimed at helping support HCM City health establishments in accumulating the blood base required for their treatment work. In addition, this highly humanized action also arouses the mutual affection among the SAMCO staff.

Also at this event, the organizing board commended 20 employees that have been accompanying the “Hearts of compassion” program for 10 consecutive years and another 32 who have been accompaniers of the program for 5 consecutive years.
