SAMCO honoured with National Quality Award 2017

Ms. Tang Thi Thu Ly - Corporation’s Deputy General Director (in black dress) - and representatives of HCM City enterprises as winners of the National Quality Awards 2017 receive congratulatory flowers from the HCM City Department of Science and Technology.

The HCM City Department of Science and Technology on 15 May 2018 held a ceremony to announce the enterprises winning the National Quality Awards 2017. The awards, determined by the Prime Minister, are presented annually in order to honor organizations and enterprises with excellent achievements in the enhancement of product and service quality.

In 2017, there were 73 enterprises as winners of the National Quality Awards (15 winners of the gold prize and 58 winners of the silver one). Of HCM City’s 6 corporate winners, the Saigon Transportation Mechanical Corporation (SAMCO) won the silver prize.

At the award ceremony, Deputy Director of the HCM City Department of Science and technology - Mr. Nguyen Khac Thanh - said, “Until 2020, HCM City will have at least 500,000 enterprises, among which are large-size ones with enormous resources. The HCM City Department of Science and Technology and HCM City Department of Standards, Metrology and Quality will be supporting enterprises in creative innovation and business activities, especially in participation in winner selection for the National Quality Awards.”
